1. Rope-Shaped Decor

To set up the towel holder, Use a 1/2-inch natural-fiber rope from a home-supply store. Secure a series of large screw eyes to the wall; feed the rope through, and knot.
2. Rope Mirror
What Do You Need
- 1/2-inch-thick natural-fiber rope
- Unframed 10-inch round mirror
- Cement glue
How To Do It
- Measure and cut 2 segments of rope. One to fit around the mirror’s outer edge, the second to fit just inside the first
- Glue rope to mirror. Line up the ends for a neat seam.
- Secure with painters’ tape until dry.
- Once dry, make a knotted hanger: Cut a 45-inch length of rope, and tie a knot on both ends.
- Glue knotted ends of rope to sides of mirror; one knot should cover the seams. Secure with painters’ tape until dry
3. Rope-Handled Caddy
What Do You Need
- Drill, with 1/2-inch drill bit
- Wooden tray
- 1/2-inch-thick natural-fiber rope
- Twine
- Cement glue
- Painters’ tape
- Craft knife
How To do It
- Drill 2 holes, 4 1/2 inches apart on ends of tray.
- Cut a 13-inch length of rope for each handle and feed it through the holes.
- To hold rope in place, wrap twine around each end 3 times, gluing it as you wrap.
- Use tape to secure twine until dry.
- Remove tape, and trim excess rope with craft knife.
4. The Rope Towel Hanger
Use about 2 metres of rope and 2 cup hook. Make sure the hook part is big enough for your rope to loop through and screw straight into plaster walls.
Make two pencil marks using a spirit level to make sure your rail are on a straight line. The stance should be wide enough for one towel to hang. Screw a cup hook into each pencil mark.
Tie a knot with your rope around each cup hook. Leave an even amount of length hanging either side. Add a little bit of glue on the knot to bind it together.
